By Car

You will reach Darmstadt via Autobahn A5 or A67. Leave the Autobahn (motorway) at Darmstädter Kreuz and follow the signs "Stadtmitte". Follow "Rheinstraße" straight along and stay on the "City Ring" through the underpass. Exit the underpass to the left and keep left as you go through the traffic light. Go through the next traffic light and keep left. After 100m turn right into the "Schloßgarage" parking . By foot, just enter the Park as shown on the map above.

By Plane

You will arrive at the airport Frankfurt/Main. From the airport you take the bus Airliner which is the fastest and most reliable link between the Rhein-Main-Airport and Darmstadt. For detailed information and schedule please look at

The bus goes directly to Darmstadt. The bus starts outside the terminals. Tickets are sold by the driver. The bus takes about 25 minutes to reach Darmstadt (Hauptbahnhof next to the Maritim Konferenzhotel). Take the tram line 3 (destination "Lichtenbergschule") or 5 (destination "Kranichstein"). You get tickets at a vending machine at the station. Get of at the tram stop "Willi-Brand-Platz" . Now follow the map above and enter the Herrngarten park. Keep straight on until you see the Robert-Piloty Building with its outside staircase right in the park .

By Train

You will arrive at the Main Station of Darmstadt. Use the exit at the east side of the station (Ausgang Ost). Take the tram line 3 (destination "Lichtenbergschule")or 5 (destination "Kranichstein"). You get tickets at a vending machine at the station. Get of at the tram stop "Willi-Brand-Platz" . Now follow the map above and enter the Herrngarten park. Keep straight on until you see the Robert-Piloty Building with its outside staircase right in the park .

Luisenplatz

In case you arrive at the Luisenplatz , just follow the Luisenstraße to the Willi-Brand-Platz . Proceed through the park to the Robert-Piloty-Building.
